Inspire Capital Partners is a corporate finance advisory firm specialized in mergers and acquisitions, capital raising (equity and debt) and advice on strategic and corporate matters.

In 2009, the partners created the firm with a purpose to put their long experience as senior investment banking professionals at major global banksat the service of our clients, with no conflicts of interests and with the objective of maximizing value creation through an independent and focused corporate finance service focused solely on the client’s interests.Our goal is to advice Shareholders and/or companies in their decision making process regarding third party Capital, be it via an M&A, IPO, fund raising (debt or equity), or strategic corporate restructuring transaction. Our commitment and proposal is to offer senior involvement, high level of technical capabilities combined with an ethical approach aimed at a long term relationship with our clients.

Managing Partners

Alexandre Rezende

Alexandre Leonel de Rezende, Managing-Partner and  member of Inspire since April 2009. Prior to joining Inspire, Mr. Rezende spent 14 years in various positions at ING Bank N.V. in Brazil, including most recently as Managing Director, Head of Corporate & Investment Banking, including the areas of Client Coverage, Products and Investment Banking. In such position Mr. Rezende was a Statutory Director of the bank and a member of the Executive Managing Board of ING in Brazil and a member of different management committees of the bank. Mr. Rezende joined ING Bank in July, 1995 as an Assistant VP and then VP, Director, Head of Client Coverage then Managing Director. Along his experience as a banker at ING, Mr. Rezende was able to originate & execute some of the most prominent transactions in several sectors such as Retail, Renewable Energy, Consumer Products among others not just in Mergers & Acquisitions but also in Capital Markets, such as the USD 2.0 billion merger between Santa Elisa and Vale do Rosário, the US$ 240 million capitalization of CNAA by Riverstone and other funds, the sale of Mercadorama supermarket chain to Sonae (Portugal), the US$ 860 million sale of Cervejarias Kaiser to Molson Inc., the acquisition of PlusVita/Pullmann on behalf of Bimbo S.A. de C.V., in addition to many other advisory and capital markets transactions.

Mr. Rezende holds a BA in Economics from the Pontificia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro and an MBA in Finance from The Stern School of Business of New York University.

Marcos Rezende

Marcos Ferraz de Rezende, Managing-Partner and  member of Inspire since April 2009. Prior to joining Inspire, Mr. Rezende spent 12 years in various positions at ING Bank N.V. in Brazil, including most recently as Managing Director, Head of Mergers & Acquisitions. Mr. Rezende joined ING Bank in July 1997 as Associate and then VP, Director, Head of Mergers & Acquisitions then Managing Director. Along his experience as a banker at ING, Mr. Rezende was able to originate & execute transactions in sectors such as Pharmaceutical, Oil & Gas, and Renewable Energy, as well as to lead the team responsible for the Mergers & Acquisitions transactions of ING Bank in Brazil. Mr. Rezende advised on several of the prominent transactions in Brazil over the last decade, including advising Petrobras on its merger with Petroquisa, the US$ 2.0 billion merger between Santa Elisa and Vale do Rosário, the US$ 450 million acquisition of Eni LPG Business in Brazil by Petrobras, the restructuring of the activities of Schering Plough Corporation in Brazil, resulting in the creation of Mantecorp, the US$ 860 million sale of Cervejarias Kaiser to Molson Inc., advisory to Odebrecht Group in the acquisition of Copene Petroquímica, in addition to many other advisory transactions.

Mr. Rezende holds a BSc in Mining Engineering from the Escola Politécnica – Universidade de São Paulo and an MBA from INSEAD, France.

Gustavo Castilho

Gustavo C. Teno Castilho, Managing-Partner and  member of Inspire since March 2017. Prior to joining Inspire, Mr. Gustavo Castilho spent 9 years in various positions  at Credit Suisse Brazil, including as Managing Director in the Investment Banking Division, where he was head of healthcare, infrastructure, transportation, sugar & ethanol and oil & gas industries. Along his experience as a banker at Credit Suisse, Mr. Castilho was able to originate & execute some of the most prominent transactions in Brazil including the US$ 5 billion sale of Amil to UnitedHealth Group, the sale of Notre Dame Intermédica to Bain Capital, the sale of a controlling stake in Qualicorp to Carlyle, the US$ 590 million IPO and the US$ 365 million Follow-on of Qualicorp, the sale of Grupo Fernandes Vieira’s hospitals to Amil and Rede D’Or, the sale of a minority stake in Pague Menos to General Atlantic, the US$ 265 million sale of Big Ben to Brasil Pharma, the US$ 700 million sale of CNAA to BP, the merger between Trip Airlines and Azul Airlines, the US$ 250 million sale of Embraport to Odebrecht Transport and DPW, the US$ 250 million IPO of JSL, the US$ 656 million IPO of Ecorodovias, the US$ 378 million IPO of Multiplus and the US$ 650 million IPO of Smiles. Mr. Castilho is a Bachelor of Laws from Faculdade de Direito – Universidade de São Paulo and holds an Executive MBA in Finance from Insper.

Luiz Augusto Peccioli

Luiz Augusto Peccioli has more than 25 years of corporate finance and capital markets experience. Over this period, he has advised corporations and their shareholders in landmark M&A, capital raising e restructuring transactions, particularly in the Consumer & Retail, Natural Resources & Commodities, Financial Services and Infrastructure sectors.

Luiz was a partner of Lazard for 14 years until leaving the firm as Managing Director in March 2021. In such capacity, in addition to providing financial advice to clients, Luiz was responsible for the operations of the firm in Brazil.

Before, Luiz has worked in the Structured Corporate Finance group of Rabobank International Brazil for 3 years. His experience also includes a 6-year tenor at Paribas Capital Markets and 6 years as a member of the Corporate Finance team of BankBoston in Brazil.

Luiz holds a Bachelor degree in Economic Sciences from the School of Economic, Accounting and Business Sciences of Makenzie University in São Paulo

Karl Windisch

Karl Windisch, Partner and member of Inspire Capital since November of 2009. Prior to Inspire, Mr. Windisch worked at Rabobank’s Corporate & Structured Finance team, at Votorantim Celulose e Papel’s Strategy & M&A team, at BDO Trevisan Consultores in M&A and Strategy Consulting. He also worked for two years in the ​​Corporate Banking area at ABN AMRO. His experience in mergers and acquisitions includes advisory transactions in industrial, utilities, pulp and paper, bioenergy, animal protein and healthcare sectors. Mr. Windisch served in strategic consulting projects in bioenergy, beverages and cooperative agribusiness sectors

Mr. Windisch holds a degree in Public Administration from Escola de Administração de Empresas de São Paulo – EAESP/FGV.

Bruno Salvoni

Bruno Salvoni, Partner and member of Inspire Capital since June 2016.  Prior to Inspire, Mr. Salvoni worked for 6 years on the Investment Banking division of Citigroup in Brazil, where he was a director, originating and executing transactions in many sectors, such as infrastructure, oil and gas, logistics and transportation, petrochemical and consumer goods.  He also worked for 5 years in the Investment Banking division at BNP Paribas Bank and for 4 years at  Itaú BBA Bank, in various areas. Selected transactions include: acquisition of Innova Pretrochemical by Videolar, IPO of Fundição Tupy, acquisition of the Brasília Airport by the Inframérica consortium, sale of Webjet to Gol Linhas Aéreas, acquisition of minority shareholdings in MMX by Wuhan Steel, sale of Sascar to GRV Solutions, among others.

Mr. Salvoni holds a B.Eng in Civil Engineering from Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo and Postgraduate in Economics of the Financial Sector from FEA/USP.

Vanesca Rocha

Vanesca Rocha, Partner and member of Inspire Capital since April 2009. Prior to Inspire, Mrs. Rocha worked at ING Bank’s team in São Paulo. Mrs. Rocha is responsible for organization and control of management and financial activities of the company, as well as the relationship with the external auditor, PriceWaterhouseCoopers – PWC.

Mrs. Rocha has a BA in Communication and Postgraduated in Project Management from Fundação Getúlio Vargas – FGV.

Lucas Scherholz

Lucas Scherholz, Partner and member of Inspire Capital since May 2015. Prior to Inspire, he worked at Pactor Finanças Corporativas with M&A, at Creta Planejamento with Project Finance, mainly in the infrastructure sector, and in the Treasury Sales Unit in Citibank Brazil. Lucas has experience on transactions in a range of sectors such as infrastructure, water utilities, education, healthcare and manufacturing.

Mr. Scherholz is a CFA® charterholder and holds a BA in Economics from Faculdade de Economia e Administração, at the Universidade de São Paulo (FEA/USP)

Arthur Arroyo

Arthur Arroyo, Partner and member of Inspire Capital since April 2023.

Prior to Inspire, he worked at the Investment Banking division of Bradesco BBI and Banco Safra, and he also worked on the Equity Research team at Banco Safra, where he covered the Utilities sector.

Mr. Arroyo holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Faculdade de Economia e Administração da Universidade de São Paulo (FEA-USP)
